FEMALE MENOPAUSE
Defined as a cessation in the overall production of female hormones resulting in no menstrual periods for 12 consecutive months and typically occurring during the mid-40’s to mid-50’s.
It is often associated with many unpleasant and incapacitating symptoms. Some women may even begin to experience some of them as early as in their mid-30’s (Perimenopause).
