After receiving his dual undergraduate degree in biology & psychology from UCLA, Dr. Rodney Ebrahimian (a.k.a. “Dr. Rodney”) went on to obtain his MD degree from the St. George’s University School of Medicine. After graduation he successfully completed a Medical Internship at The Brooklyn Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York followed by a Residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation from the Albert Einstein School of Medicine in Bronx, New York.
He has been in private practice for nearly 20 years. Part of his clinical practice involves the use of Integrative and Complimentary medical practices in the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions. One of his main true passions entails the use of Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapies for the safe and effective treatment of the often debilitating symptoms of Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS), Pre-menopause and Menopause in women as well as for Male Menopause also known as “Andropause” or Low T Syndrome. His extraordinary wealth of medical knowledge along with his extensive clinical experience coupled with his “one of a kind” friendly demeanor, true passion, love and dedication to his patients are really unique qualities which makes “Dr. Rodney” a true asset not only to the entire medical profession as a whole but to our institute as well. We are so happy and proud to have him as acting Chief Medical Director of the New York Institute of Hormone Replacement.
Robert Ortiz, MD
Director of Clinical Research & Patient Education
Dr. Robert Ortiz completed a BS degree in Physiology from Michigan State University. While as an undergraduate student there, he received several academic awards and research internships including scholarships to institutions like Harvard University, Tulane University School of Medicine, The New York Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical College and The Rockefeller University.
After receiving his MD degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia he successfully completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program from Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Ortiz has had a very rewarding career in both clinical research and in academic education as an Adjunct Professor of Human Anatomy & Physiology having taught at the national level in several colleges.
His unique passion for the integration of “Conventional Medicine” practices with “Preventive & Functional Medicine” applications has remained his most important career goal. This has led him to pursue further professional training in the area of Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT). Shortly after completing his Internal Medicine Residency training program, he went on to train under Dr. Neal Rouzier, one of the foremost BHRT experts in the world.
