NYIHR

The NYIHR was developed by doctors leading the field of Hormone Replacement Therapy. At the institute, our primary goal is simple: Replace gradually declining hormones back to well-balanced optimal levels using biologically identical natural hormones in order to effectively treat the signs & symptoms of premenopause & menopause in both men and women while significantly improving overall health, sense of wellness, disease prevention and quality of life.

Bio-identical Hormones are compounds found in nature that are indistinguishable from the molecular/chemical structure of many of the hormones naturally found in the human body. During the aging process, declining hormone levels can cause a person to be become overweight, lose muscle mass and skin elasticity. People can become easily fatigued, in addition to possibly developing an extensive array of symptoms which could have a negative impact on the quality of life of both genders alike. All these symptoms can be easily corrected by simply replenishing declining hormonal levels.
Our Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) program involves the use of supplemental doses of naturally available hormones to make up for the decline, or lack of natural hormone production in a person’s body. Because they are identical to our own hormones, our bodies can recognize and metabolize them easily producing the same normal physiologic benefits as those produced by our own natural hormones without unnecessary and unwanted side effects. Our skill consists of knowing which hormones need to be replenished and balanced and by how much. Bio-identical hormones are available for both men and women.

Hormones are very important chemical substances (messengers) naturally produced by the body that control and regulate the most important metabolic activities in all human cells.  They are either made from proteins also known as peptide hormones or derivatives of cholesterol (steroid hormones).

As the levels of these hormones decrease, so does our overall physical capacity, mental functioning and complete health. This “hormonal imbalance” will significantly affect all of us at different times in our lives regardless of gender.

Hormones are key mediators in the preservation of the vital “structure” (anatomy) and “function” (physiology) of the human body.  From the metabolism of hair, skin and nails, to the more complex functions of our immune system to the health of our major vital organs such as the brain and the heart.  Hormones play an essential role in our overall sense of wellness, disease prevention, health preservation and a much significantly improved quality of life during our later years.
